Tampa Bay Monitoring provides alcohol and GPS monitoring systems for parents, defendants, courts, and family law cases – a business that has to earn trust from very different audiences at the same time. We built their brand from the ground up: a custom logo, a full print and promotional suite, and a website designed to serve courts and the public without confusing either one.

A brand built to speak to courts, defendants, and families all at once.

RELATIONSHIP
Since 2002, ongoing

Twenty-four years of showing up for every project they've had in mind.

Tampa Bay Monitoring needed a platform that did two jobs at once: sell their services, and support defendants and families navigating a difficult system. We built the site around a ‘separate and communicate’ approach – distinct sections speaking directly to courts and to the public, each with content tailored to what that audience actually needs, backed by clear calls to action and a ‘Get a Quote’ path on every page.

What We Discovered

A business built to serve very different audiences at once:

What Changed

A full identity, built from the logo up.

The Outcome

A brand and platform built to last:

FOR THE BENCH

Speaking to judges as partners, not prospects.

A lead magnet on the real challenges judges face – burnout, compassion fatigue, spotting high-risk defendants – paired with direct mail built to open a conversation, not close a sale.

FOR THE BAR

A different case for a different audience.

Attorneys don’t need convincing that monitoring works – they need to know it’s reliable enough to put their name behind. Direct mail built for that exact bar.
CAMPAIGNS

Proof, Not Punishment

SCRAM ankle monitors are impossible to hide – embarrassing, visible, and costly to a defendant’s job and relationships. The campaign made the case for a better option: CheckBAC, a discreet, smartphone-based alcohol monitor that costs half as much and doesn’t announce itself to the world.
FOR FAMILIES IN CRISIS

Content that meets people at their hardest moment.

‘Divorcing an Alcoholic’ walks a spouse through protecting themselves and their children, gathering evidence, and knowing when monitoring can help the court keep everyone safe – proof that Tampa Bay Monitoring’s content goes far beyond product features.

There is a version of this page with your name on it.

Every engagement starts the same way, with a conversation about what is actually going on rather than what the brief says. If you recognized something of your own company in this file, that is usually the signal. Twenty minutes on a call and we can tell you whether there is something here worth going after.

Catherine Fortel

Founder & Strategic Lead

I grew up in server rooms. My father worked in IT, and I spent my childhood marveling at how systems work beneath the surface. That curiosity never left.

I started Dynamo Directive because I am drawn to what lies beneath: what makes a person, a business, or a brand genuinely unique.

My background spans IT, digital design, a degree in marketing psychology, and business strategy. Every engagement is as much about the person behind the brand as the brand itself.
